Recipe
for Purim

With Purim currently taking place, I though it could be a most
fantastic idea to write up the best possible recipe for how to bake
Hamentashens cookies. It's a recipe I've enjoyed ever since my
grandmother began using it years ago, and it still holds up very
well today, eternally surpassing the ingredients used in commercial
Hamentashens. Oh yes, it's delicious.
So now, here is the marvelous recipe for Hamentashens, at your
service, everybody!
3 and 1/4 cups flour
3 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup oil
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Beat eggs with oil. Add sugar. Add sifted dry ingredients. Add
flour. Roll to 1/8 thick cut with 3-inch drinking glass.
Filling
1 lb prunes
3 slices of orange
1 raisins
Rind juice of 1/2 lemon
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 and 1/4 cup of water
Cook until soft and then use blender.
And then, you'll be able to put together some really good
Hamentashens for Purim, or any other time for that matter! It's one
of the best recipes my grandmother came up with years ago, and is
far better than any storebought product of this kind.
Happy Purim, everybody!
